THE MISSION

The Lawrence P. Cohen Memorial scholarship has been created to provide the most qualified applicants with assistance in achieving the dreams of a college education. Those who knew Larry understood his passion for achievement through hard work. Additionally, Larry had a passion for seeing young adults achieve while overcoming difficult adversity. The recipients of the Larwrenece P. Cohen Memorial Scholarships will be selected based not only for their accomplishments, but how they handled adversity and challenges along their academic journey.
FUNDING
Scholarships are funded through the generosity of Larry's family, friends, business associates and anyone who can appreciate the mission of the foundation. Primary fundraising will coincide with an event to honor Larry and his legacy in November of 2025. This event will be both a FUN time and a great tribute to honor Larry's legacy. Combining a great event and helping young adults achieve success is the perfect way to help launch the effort.
The Lawrence P. Cohen Memorial Scholarship Foundation’s first major event is happening on Friday, November 14, 2025. Join us at Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, MA. Enjoy an evening filled with great food, signature drinks, live entertainment, and exciting auction items — all while supporting a cause that changes lives.
Your ticket purchase includes your food, open bar and entrance donation to the event that will help provide scholarships for students who embody resilience, perseverance, and determination in their pursuit of higher education.
